This beautiful African American spiritual also called, “Were you there when They Crucified my Lord” was first published in William Barton’s Old Plantation Hymns in 1899. The arrangment retains the vocal rhythms with added guitaristic textures, including a variation with arpeggiated chords. Available in Standard, Quartet, and Trio versions.
