Cantus by Alan Hirsh

Commissioned for the US Guitar Orchestra Summer Institute, 2026. This is technically accessible but musically challenging work that requires mixed-meter flexibility and and pro-active playing on off-beats.  The music is organized in two major theme areas which motivically develop and integrate as one, toward the end.
