Capriol Suite (complete) by Peter Warlock, arr. A Hirsh

Capriol Suite by Peter Warlock (1894-1930) was originally written for two pianos and later arranged by Warlock for string orchestra.  The lively work is based on Renaissance dance tunes but with some 20th-century style decoration (note the ending of Movt. 6 which morphs into bitonality).   The version is available as standard—6 six standard guitars or expanded—6 standard and contrabass.  Both versions include advanced parts for Guitar Ia and Ib.  The suite ‘s 6 movements can be played as a whole or in selections, for example: (Movts, I-II-III-IV) or (Movts, I-II, V, VI).
