Go Tell it on the Mountain (M)

A rhythmically energized setting of the traditional spiritual.  Harmonies are fresh and texture is balanced between homophonic and polyphonic  At the start Guitars III, IV, V (in low D) provide a flowing ostinato against the melody set in Guitars I and II.  The second phrase is treated with imitation at the octave.  In the coda, the final harmonization is mildly jazzy and chromatic.
