Welsh Carol (“Suo Gân”), arr. A. Hirsh (M)

The traditional Welsh tune, Suo gân, began as a lullaby and was later set to lyrics as a Christmas carol.  In recent times, the tune has been made popular in the film, Empire of the Sun.  The melody has been given fresh harmonic treatment and is available in two versions of Standard (5 parts and 6 parts) , and two versions of Expanded, (one with contra only and one with both contra and requinto)
